I will also chime in on this one.   Fresh install of Mythbuntu 9.04
alpha 6.1 i386.  System was installed as a frontend only.  I found that
the backend process was running as well, and continuously accessing the
disk.  I killed the process and it stopped.

I have not fixed this problem as of yet, so if you need additional
testing or output, let me know, and I can reboot, and it should happen
again.

Currently I am doing an apt-get update to see if an update fixes this
problem, but  doubt it will, since I am not updating Myth itself.

LMK if there is information that would help you isolate this problem
further for other users.
