While I appreciate the work you did on the original package, xvidcore
has been traditionally merged into Ubuntu from debian-multimedia.org:
http://debian-multimedia.org/pool/main/x/xvidcore/

Perhaps you could prepare a debdiff for its version 1.2.1-0.0?
