Same here, but there is a solution that it works for me, finded it in

$ gconftool-2 --set --type bool
/apps/compiz/general/screen0/options/unredirect_fullscreen_windows false

I have an Acer Aspire One 150 with Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope

$ lspci|grep -i vga
