Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubuntu-netbook-remix
Very minor bug, with a workaround, so you may chose to ignore it and
work on something more important...!
Using Jaunty, fully updated, on an Acer Aspire One, in Netbook Remix
desktop mode: Open Office applications do not open properly full-screen
instead leaving a row of desktop background visible at the bottom of the
screen. This row is approximately title-bar height to I assume the issue
is an artefact of the NBR window manager removing the default title bar,
moving it's function to the top panel, and for some reason not managing
to change the window height to make use of the space saved. The
incorrect size persists even if you un-maximise the window and re-
maximise it.
Work-around: if you drop into the affected OO.o application's fullscreen
mode (ctrl+shift+j or menu/view/fullscreen) and then back, the window is
sized correctly from there on.
My current OO.o packages are version 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3 according to
aptitude. The ubuntu-netbook-remix package shows as 1.139.
(as I said above this a very superficial bug, especially for me as I
tend to run OO.o apps in their full-screen view anyway on this device,
but it may affect new users who don't even know about full-screen mode)
** Affects: mobile-meta (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
