[Bug 377539] [NEW] compiz slow window resizing with qt apps [video included]

Public bug reported:

QT seems to have an awful performance problem in its interaction with
compiz. While resizing GTK windows is OK, resizing QT windows runs at <
1 fps if the resize is substantial (ie more than 1% change in window
size)

See the video for a demonstration.

I'm running xorg-edgers drivers and xorg but the same issue occurs with
the stock packages in jaunty.

note: i am using intel hardware, but the massive performance regressions
with the new driver are not as marked on my hardware (intel g35) than on
other systems
