[Bug 294619] Re: Can not adjust the monitor brightness on Vaio FW11, with ATI adapter

laptop of samsung R458 with Geforce 9200 GS(NVIDIA driver version 180.11)  .Brightness can not be adjusted in ubuntu 8.10.
(1) Fn+uparrow and downarrow 
doesn't work

(2) system->preference->power managements
 doesn't work

(3)sudo sh -c "echo -n 10 > /proc/acpi/video/NVID/LCD/brightness" 
doesn't work

(4)disable the  driver
     (1)still doesn't work but (2) and (3) work.
