Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: klavaro
In my daily use of Klavaro, one of the few problems I've had is how
often the paragraphs from the default text would repeat. This can get
tiresome and affect the user's performance.
It's cool that the user can add new texts himself, but he should not
NEED to actively look for suitable texts. There are classic books that
can be freely reproduced, so... why not take advantage of that? Pages
like http://www.gutenberg.org offer these books in plain text format,
and the possibilities that this offers are numerous. Two of them are:
-Klavaro could access the pages and retrieve a random book in plain text, then select paragraphs that have, say, between 250 and 500 words (because the fluidness course defaults to 2 paragraphs and must be at least 500 words long).
-Selected books can be downloaded and skimmed for suitable paragraphs, then stored at a file server in klavaro's page. then Klavaro can fetch them on demand.
** Affects: klavaro (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
