all my crash problems seem to be related to compiz and the ati driver..

it appears if I minimize to awn and restart awn tries to restore it as
it was when minimized. Then if I mess with the video driver and compiz I
can crash totem. so yes I think it is related to compiz or the amd/ati
drivers. If I close the app properly and then open from the menu I don't
seem to have this problem. It does not occur regularly enough for me to
be sure, but I can definitely crash it when I screw with display. ps
trying to uninstall the ati driver (flgrx?) gave me a white screen
because of compiz; while trying to fix xserver and compiz I managed to
hang totem again ... it seem to cause the same events to become
unresponsive.
