[Bug 380897] [NEW] 2.6.28-3 corrupted X and failure of dri

Public bug reported:

I can still switch to a VT without corruption. but since installing
fglrx,  VESA also gets corrupted but wont respond. generic is fine, just
the rt kernel amd64.
