Public bug reported:
Server configuration:
ubuntu 8.10 updated
nfs-kernet-server 1.1.2
samba 3.2.3
Client configuration:
ubuntu 9.04 (upgrated from ubuntu 8.10)
nfs-common 1.1.4
samba-common 3.3.2
am-utils 6.1.5
totem 2.26.1
Since the upgrade from ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 of my client, when I try to read a file from my server (with totem, kmplayer or...) under GNOME I've got a error in reading : "Disconnected:connexion terminée" after a few minutes what ever I specified in "amd.conf" for "cache_duration" and "dismount_interval".
This error appears if the file is accessed with NFS or with SAMBA
Same problem with KDE (time to get the error is simply a little bit longer)
by reducing "Cache_duration" and "dismount_interval" to the default values.
(my client is able to run ubuntu with GNOME or with KDE)
Under W$XP the file reading works normally.
PS: Bug reported, by mistake, to Chromadesk as nbr 381055
Best regards
MPaq
