[Bug 381550] [NEW] multi-selection does not work when holding shift-key down

Not sure this should be counted as a bug or feature request. If I hold
the shift key down, and use the -> (right arrow) to select multiple
characters, only the last one gets selected, which is not the case for
most other OS X editors like TexShop, TextExit, etc. I found it very
inconvenient: I had to use the mouse to achieve multi-character
selection.
