Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grip

Ubuntu 9.04 Grip has slow CD ripping which seems related to the HAL
can't eject bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal/+bug/271202 (which is a
dup of another bug)

Entering the following command fixes the slow CD ripping on my system
*and* fixes the eject bug:

hal-disable-polling --device /dev/sr0

Unfortunately this disables the auto-mount of the drive, but that can be
fixed by:

hal-disable-polling --device /dev/sr0 --enable-polling
