[Bug 469704] [NEW] audacity skips, consumes 110% processor

Binary package hint: audacity
Audacity in Karmic has been skipping occasionally. This skipping is so
short that only about half a word is lost in playback of the file, and
if I play the file again, or simply back up the play head, it will not
skip in the same places, but different ones.
Processor usage is 110% for audacity in gnome-system-monitor on my AMD64
3.2 GHz dual-core Athlon 6400. I did not have this problem in Jaunty,
which I had been using audacity in on at least a weekly basis since
approximately the time Jaunty released.
