Could you also check if the problem is still present if you disable KMS
('Esc' at boot to show the Grub boot menu, 'e' to edit the command
behind the menu entry and then add the parameter "nomodeset" after
"quiet sync"). We would like /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of
`xrandr --verbose` for that case whether it works or not.
