[Bug 462961] Re: auto-resize install renders previous system with separate /boot unbootable

I restored my test install from the original report to the karmic final
packages and confirmed that this breaks grub.cfg, and the previous
installation with separate /boot does not boot.

Now I upgraded to the proposed packages, and confirm that both
installations now boot.
