Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: scribus-ng

A large percentage of scribus-ng files that correctly produced PDFs in
jaunty simply crash as soon as one tries to create a PDF in karmic.

The people on the scribus reflector have concluded that the version of
scribus-ng that is packaged is far too old (January, 2009) for reliable
use; the crashes do not occur if in karmic one manually builds and uses
the current version of the development branch of scribus instead of the
packaged scribus-ng.

It seems like it was an oversight somehow to include in karmic a very
old development version instead of the current development version in
karmic.
