Vadim Peretokin asked "Besides ClamAV and wine, what didn't work?" -
honestly, I was not keeping track at the time as I was so surprised to
have all the error reports and was not expecting to get into bug
reporting - and I would rather not guess inaccurately.  I was running a
whole series of add programs on a clean new install of 9.10 i386.  I
subsequently used the upgrade process on an AMD64 laptop from 9.04 to
9.10 and the same ttf-mscorefont problem was reported at the end of the
upgrade so this is a pretty wide problem - the upgraded laptop is usable
despite reporting the upgrade failed but is slow and unresponsive in
comparison to running 9.04.
