Me too. Having the same problem.
Starting firefly (mt-daapd) then starting Rhythmbox on another PC (running Karmic NBR). It loads the tracklists, but as soon as I hit "Play" it says "Connection refused" and when I check on the server mt-daapd has died with a segfault in libavcodec:

This is only after upgrading from Jaunty to Karmic.
