Through further testing I restarted my Ubuntu server with the webcam
attached, and did not open the web page to request the video stream in
any manner for 12 hours. After 12 hours I opened the web page to request
the video stream and saw the current video, at least 3 images of it
before it froze. So it has to be something in the way the Ubuntu is
processing the video stream.
