Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: grub-pc
After doing an apt-get upgrade straight after a fresh install of 9.10,
it shows this problem:
Setting up grub-pc (1.97~beta4-1ubuntu4) ...
grub-probe: error: Cannot stat `(hd0'
Invalid device `(hd0'.
Try ``grub-setup --help'' for more information.
grub-probe: error: Cannot stat `5)'

Clearly, it's split the string according to the ',' that should of been
in that string.
On a seperate note, may I also take this opportunity to say, that I've
never in my life had so many problems with an Ubuntu upgrade. Not only
did I have to do a completely fresh install due to the 'video card
flashing' problems which just would not go away, not only have I spent
the last 3 hours trying to make Truecrypt and Grub 2 work nicely, but on
top of that, the image which people are downloading is not even the most
up to date one, and contains bugs, bugs which do things like stopping my
b43 wireless card from working.
I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of preparation and due care that
this release has suffered, and it is quite disappointing since Ubuntu
upgrades are usually such a seamless and care-free task. This release
obviously has not had any adequate testing, and I'm sure I'll get a
flaming from the developers and other users for these comments, but
someone had to say it.
