One more update:
I tried to install to the same system with same alternate CD Raid5 (3x160gd hdd)
Grub 2 installed without any problem to the boot sector of all 3 raid disks.
Also all other disks are identified correctly. (3xsata160gb raid5 karmic+ 1x160gb sata kubuntu 8.10 + 1x80gb ide 9.10 kubuntu + 1x80gb ide win)
