Try to connect to your server by running openvpn in terminal, if you
have a config file for it:

sudo openvpn --config example.conf

If you do not have any config file, you can create a new one or modifiy
this example to your needs:

source/documentation/howto.html#examples (you have to scroll a little
bit down!)

This is the way i am doing it right now.
