Thank you for reporting this bug. The problem is with the modesetting in
the kernel, and there has been some development there after the kernel
for Karmic was finalized. Would you mind testing a new mainline kernel
(2.6.32-rc6 should be the newest right now) to see if the problem is
still present there? The result will tell us whether this is a problem
on the ubuntu level or if it is also a problem upstream.
