Timbo1974, thank you for taking the time to help make Ubuntu better.  To
help diagnose your problem, could you please insert a CD into your
drive, and then run the following command in the terminal: apport-
collect -p devicekit-disks 481726

This will collect some additional information for your bug report to
help us figure your problem out.
