It seems ubuntu-bug/apport doesnt know my system info. i tried filing this bug on grub-pc but it uses grub2 instead and that package is not needed. Grub2 is a transitional package. Also trying to use apport-collect doesnt work since grub2 is used due to package it is filed against. 
Yes the above is different bugs than this one.
