This bug should be turned into a FAQ

From: John Mills
Subject: suggestion: docs on closing bugs
To: ubuntu-doc at lists.ubuntu.com
Content-Type: text/plain
I had a problem with an aptitude install of gnochm.
The crash notifier took me to Launchpad where I filed it as a bug.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chmlib/+bug/485707
Synaptic and aptitude subsequently resolved the problem.
(I probably should have tried that before continuing with the bug.)
Anyway, I looked for docs (but couldn't find any) on how to close the
bug in a meaningful way (Invalid? FixReleased?).
A few notes on that might help others who find issues which resolve
themselves.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam/Contact led me to believe this
would be an appropriate address to send this suggestion to.
If not, I apologize.
