[Bug 487629] [NEW] under Kubuntu 9.10 amd64, cups-pdf creates files with no visible text

Binary package hint: cups-pdf
In my environment, cups-pdf consistently produces pdf files of length
2192 bytes that contain no visible text:
~$ ls -l PDF
