[Bug 488323] [NEW] CONFIG_X86_MCE not enabled in Ubuntu 9.04 kernels

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mcelog

The kernels for Ubuntu 9.04 do not have the option CONFIG_X86_MCE turned
on.  This prevents getting reports of memory errors on the system.  I am
currently running 2.6.28-16-generic and it is not enabled.

This is of critical importance, especially for server systems.

Please add this option in the next kernel update.
