Quick fix for the impatient:
 cd /usr/share/pyshared
 wget "http://imdbpy.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/imdbpy/trunk/imdbpy/imdb/parser/http/movieParser.py?r1=745&r2=750&view=patch" -O - | sudo patch -p2
 sudo update-python-modules -a
