[Bug 490562] [NEW] VLC crashes when clicking in the Playlist top row

Reproduced 100% of attempts:

In VLC, either freshly started (no media shortlisted) or playing for
about an hour, opening the Playlist window works (unlike reported in bug
#393128) but aiming to sort out the tracks (even if there are no tracks
listed) crashes the media player.

Either clicking on Title, Duration or Album (top row) crashes VLC
instantly.

vlc 1.0.2-1ubuntu2 (original karmic package, I didn't check c-korn's ppa for 1.0.3)
karmic 64-bit
