[Bug 442706] [NEW] cannot display screen

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: supertux

Using ubuntu karmic beta amd64.
When running supertux the following message is displayed 
"Cannot display this video mode, change computer display 
input to 1440x900 at 60Mhz". I can see the game and I can't 
get back to my gnome session without restarting gdm.
I'm using the latest propietary nvidia drivers.
My monitor is a Philips 190SW. 
I'm using Nvidia GeForce 6600
