It looks like there is a generic problem with eclipse currently:

$ sudo apt-get install eclipse
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
FSome packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

  eclipse: Depends: eclipse-jdt (= 3.4.1-1) but it is not going to be installed
           Depends: eclipse-pde (= 3.4.1-1) but it is not going to be installed

           Recommends: eclipse-gcj but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages


The latest version of the center will display a more meaningful error message (and no
longer crash). But I will still leave the report open because problems like this should be
detected earlier (in the details view already).
