@roolvid, this is not the same problem. When I click on Install new
Software, the attached message is shown. I cannot install any plugin at
all. Again, I'm using Eclipse 3.5 from the default Karmic repository.

$ apt-cache policy eclipse
eclipse:
  Installed: 3.5.1-0~ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.5.1-0~ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.5.1-0~ubuntu1 0
