If there's nothing in fstab, I can't see why mountall would hang -
provide your fstab and mountall debug output

Daniel: you've filed an enormous number of bugs, and frankly I'm
completely at a loss where to begin.  It would help greatly if you could
actually explain in detail what problem(s) you're having, because right
now I'm not sure I can help you
