[Bug 447188] [NEW] [Karmic Beta] Custom mouse pointer not shown everywhere

Public bug reported:

When changing my mouse pointer in the Appearance Settings (-> Customize
-> Pointer), the new mouse pointer only shows up in a few selected
programs, e.g. Firefox, Terminal - on the wallpaper, the panel, Nautilus
and most other programs the old mouse pointer still shows up.

This is on Karmic Beta.
