Shouldn't be too hard, as the upstream gnome-shell git repo contains a
gnome-shell.desktop file that could be just installed to
/usr/share/xsessions. AFAICT though, lp:ubuntu/gnome-shell does not
contain this file. Is this because it is not in the upstream tarball, or
is there another reason?
