Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ttf-kacst
There are many fonts installed by default but only a few are actually
used.
The xfonts-base package compresses all the pcf files by using the gzip
method.
Why not compressing the ttc file of this package ?
Here is a comparaison with the gzipped version:
-----
j at j-laptop:~$ du -h /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-kacst/KacstTitleL.ttf
212K /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-kacst/KacstTitleL.ttf
j at j-laptop:~$ gzip --best -c /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-kacst/KacstTitleL.ttf > KacstTitleL.ttf.gz
j at j-laptop:~$ du -h KacstTitleL.ttf.gz
116K KacstTitleL.ttf.gz
j at j-laptop:~$
