[Bug 405927] Re: ggl-gtk crashed with signal 5 in _XError()

I'm using Karmic development branch as well and have had the exact same
issue. The app opens for a moment and then crashes. I'm not a developer
or anything, but I do have a knack for work-arounds... Here's how I
managed to make it run:

I went to ~/.google/gadgets/options

I opened the global-options.xml file that is generated on the first run
of the program.

I removed the following lines relating to the analog clock on the
sidebar:

 <item name="added_time.analog-clock" type="i">1255418036324</item>
 <item name="inst_gadget_id.0" type="s">analog-clock</item>
 <item name="inst_status.0" type="i">1</item>

I then saved this file and ran the program again, which now runs fine!
Whatever the problem is, I'm going to guess it has something to do with
that clock applet.
