Also all the configuration files in mira-red are ok for me, so, I really suspect you have a problem with either nvclock, sensors or the weather scripts (if the weather scripts download stuff it is possible that the "freeze" is just the scripts hanging up on a request).
Anyhow, nothing to do with conky I'm afraid.
