I can confirm that this is currently working on Mythbuntu 9.10 Beta with
jyoders LIRC package as of about 10 days ago.

Tomorrow I will rebuild my computer with the latest Mythbuntu image
which includes the updated LIRC packages (0.8.6-0ubuntu1). Then I will
add jyoders LCDProc packages

I am running an iMon LCD (ffdc) and can also test with a MCE remote and
a Logitech Harmony.
