Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
Firefox should always "Show my home page" when starting up. This
normally works. Sometimes, however, this preference is ignored, and
Firefox does "Show my windows and tabs from last time." This bug is
intermittent, and there is nothing I can do to reproduce it at will.
However, if DOES exist!
This is Firefox 3.0.14, according to the About box, although your bug
reporter says that is not an option for Ubuntu. Rather obviously, it
is.
