This sounds like two separate bugs, which should probably be filed
separately with shorter titles such as "Sound problem in openarena" and
"Crash on exiting openarena".  The rest of the info in your summary/bug
title could go in the bug description.

Please tell us what sound chip and video card you are using.  Also
please attach the output of lspci -nn.

When the laptop freezes do you have a black screen or is there something
on the screen?
