I can confirm this problem ("hostname is not resolvable") with karmic rc
- the workaround with setting the listen-address to ::1 worked for me.

I work on a laptop with only WLAN connection - probably name resolution
is not available fast enough? I *think* I saw the same problem with
another daemon (stunnel) at startup, but I´ll have to check this more
thououghly.
