[Bug 461386] [NEW] Booting my Linux guests take ages

Binary package hint: virtualbox-ose

I have a Lenny i386 and Lenny amd64, both takes about 5 minutes to boot.

The problem is during the first steps taken by Linux (during hardware, apic, etc detection).
After all, the booting will continue and no performance affects the guest machines.

I have no idea of what could be, the problem persist with any
combination of VT/apic/smp, both with 2.6.26 stock lenny kernel and with
2.6.30 backports kernel.

I've enabled on rc.local the perf_counter_paranoid as kernel said and
rebooted.
