With the DpkgTerminalLog I see these informations: 
    Unpacking cairo-dock-plug-ins-data (from .../cairo-dock-plug-ins-data_2.0.9-0ubuntu1_all.deb) ...
    dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
     fork failed: Cannot allocate memory
    Log ended: 2009-10-24  15:19:40

It seems that you have a memory problem. Do you have free memory enough?
Is your swap mounted?
