Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: cryptsetup
System has several encrypted disks, containing LVM groups with various mount points.
On boot, am prompted to enter passphrase for disk containing /, /tmp, swap. Entry successful, boot moves on.
Eventually:
One or more of the mounts listed in /etc/fstab cannot yet be mounted:
(ESC for recovery shell)
/data: waiting for /dev/mapper/data-data
/home: waiting for /dev/mapper/backend-home
/var: waiting for /dev/mapper/backend-var
/var/log: waiting for /dev/mapper/backend-log
/var/mail: waiting for /dev/mapper/backend-mail
* Starting init crypto disks...
* md0_crypt (starting)
Enter passphrase to unlock the disk /dav/disk/by-uuid/<whatever> (md0_crypt):
However, before the passphrase can be entered, the message " * Reloading
/etc/samba/smb.conf smbd only" appears on the same line. Entering the
phrase after this and hitting return has no effect, even after several
minutes.
ESC does nothing. Ctrl+C does nothing. No other ttys are active.
** Affects: cryptsetup (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
