I am not sure there is any way to read out the BIOS setting. It is the
fault of the BIOS to leave the full RAID metadata on the disks, unless
there is a way to to detect whether it is active or not. If there is a
way, dmraid should be improved to make use of it of course.
The workaround is to remove the dmraid package, or boot with the
"nodmraid" boot option (also available in the Desktop CD boot menu).
This will be mentioned in the 9.10 Release Notes.
