I think you might have out-of-date data. For example, the version of
syb-with-class currently in Karmic has:

Package: libghc6-syb-with-class-dev
Depends: ghc6 (>= 6.10.4-1ubuntu2), ghc6 (<< 6.10.4+), libc6 (>= 2.4), libffi5 (>= 3.0.4), libgmp3c2

(and the version of GHC is 6.10.4, not 6.10.3)
