Since you reported this bug, blender has been updated to a newer version
that should fix some bugs. There have also been a number of bugs in
xorg-packages that could lead to this kind of behaviour which are now
fixed. Could you please check if this bug is still present on an updated
karmic, and if so, upload the files requested in the previous comment?
