This bug was fixed in the package nicotine - 1.2.12+dfsg-1ubuntu1

nicotine (1.2.12+dfsg-1ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * debian/control:
    - added a depends on python-glade2 to prevent nicotine
      to fail at startup cause a missing module. (LP: #427796)
    - maintainer field updated using the latest contact email:
